Captain Rod and Stacey are a husband and wife yacht delivery team. They offer yacht delivery services anywhere from Maine to Corpus Christi, Texas, the Bahamas, and the near Caribbean. They act as a team and limit their deliveries to sailboats and motor boats of less than 51 gross tons. They have been boating together for 25 years and have traveled the ICW and open ocean together many times.
Captain Rod, hold a master mariners license from the United States Coast Guard, and has been on boats since he was six months old and his father, who ran a marina, placed him in the V of old wooden boats to do the sea trials. Captain Rod's family had boats the entire time he was growing up, and Captain Rod started taking them to the lake as soon as he was old enough to drive. Captain Rod has owned boats of various kinds for over thirty years (everything from go-fast boats, to 40-plus foot express cruisers, to their current 42 foot sailing catamaran). Captain Rod has thousands of hours of operating experience on the open ocean, inland waterways, and inland lakes and not a single loss claim--ever--for any vessel under his command. Captain Rod has been responsible for deliveries and acted as first mate on deliveries of vessels approaching 100 tons.Stacey, his First Mate, also has years of experience on the waterways and the ocean. Together, they have sailed from Maine to the Keys and the Caribbean--several times over. Stacey has taken and passed the OUPV captains course.
